"The United States and Russia had a thorough and productive meeting," the source said.

The White House spokesman clarified that Witkoff and Kushner had held a briefing for Trump and the Ukrainian side.

The meeting between Witkoff and Putin ended on the night of December 3. The negotiations lasted about five hours.
