The forward of Zenit football club Vadim Shilov underwent surgery after an injury in training. This was announced on December 3 by the press service of the St. Petersburg club.

"Vadim Shilov has successfully undergone knee surgery," the FC Telegram channel says.

It is noted that the 17-year-old athlete underwent surgery after an anterior cruciate ligament injury in November this year. The club added that Shilov will be under the supervision of Zenit's medical staff. At the same time, the projected recovery period is about six months.

On November 21, Shilov was injured in training before the upcoming game. It was clarified that, according to the results of a medical examination, the football player had an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
