The automatic landing system was tested on the SJ-100 aircraft
Tests of the automatic landing system have begun on the domestic SJ-100 (Sukhoi Superjet 100) aircraft. This was announced on December 3 by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of Rostec State Corporation, in its Telegram channel.
"Tests of the automatic landing system have begun in Zhukovsky on an SJ-100 aircraft with domestic systems. At the moment, the aircraft has already completed 12 landings under the program of finishing tests," the publication says.
According to the UAC, the Russian automatic control system (ACS) was developed jointly by specialists from the KRET concern and the Yakovlev company. It is noted that the algorithms created correspond to those used on modern passenger aircraft.
On September 5, the Rostec press service reported that the SJ-100 aircraft, assembled using serial technologies, made its first flight in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The aircraft was built using new domestic systems and assemblies as part of the import substitution program.
On November 7, the SJ-100 successfully completed tests to protect Russian PD-8 engines from water ingress. It was noted that this type of test is one of the most important, since take-off and landing of the aircraft can be carried out, including during rain.
