A teenager was detained in the Kurgan region on suspicion of treason.
A 17-year-old local resident suspected of treason was detained in Kurgan. This was reported on December 3 by the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kurgan region.
"The Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kurgan region has detained a 17-year—old local resident on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High Treason")," RIA Novosti news agency quoted the text of the message.
The detainee also posted inscriptions in the Kurgan calling for joining the terrorist organization of Ukraine and transmitted photos of cars with symbols of the special military operation (SVO). He knew that the purpose of this organization was to collect information about residents of the Kurgan region who supported the SVR, as well as arson attacks on their cars.
He received $30 as a reward for completed tasks. The suspect is currently in custody and faces up to 20 years in prison.
