American actor Steven Seagal expressed pride in being Russian and confirmed his intention to continue living and working in Russia. He stated this on December 3 at the "We are Together" award ceremony at the Rossiya National Center.

Segal noted that the main advantage of the Russian nation is unity and mutual support.

"The fact that you are all united and supporting each other is incredibly valuable. This is exactly what distinguishes Russia," the actor emphasized, as quoted by TASS.

He also added that he was very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Russian people.

"I am proud to be Russian. If the Lord gives me a chance to stay in Russia and continue my activities, I will be very grateful," concluded Segal.

Earlier, on September 5, Seagal announced that he was Russian. Seagal received Russian citizenship in 2016. In May 2024, Putin awarded him the Order of Friendship "for his great contribution to the development of international cultural and humanitarian cooperation."

Before that, on May 9, the actor attended a parade on Red Square in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
