Crimea will be allocated about 1.1 million rubles for the development of genomic breeding in livestock breeding. The funds will come from the federal budget. The corresponding order has been published on the Russian government's portal.

In total, more than 30 regions will receive 264.5 million rubles for these purposes, writes IA SevastopolMedia.

The order states that the list of measures for the development of genomic breeding includes conducting a molecular genetic examination of breeding young cattle. This is necessary to obtain information about the authenticity of the origin. It is also necessary to make sure that the animals do not have genetically determined diseases.

The Agency clarifies that the allocated subsidies make it possible to cover up to 70% of the costs incurred by farms.

Earlier it was reported that two new health centers were opened on the territory of Crimea. 44.7 million rubles were allocated for their equipment in 2025. The facilities were built on the basis of the Kerch Hospital No. 1 named after N.I. Pirogov and the Feodosia Medical Center as part of the national project "Long and active life".
