Scientists of the IKI RAS reported the first winter magnetic storm
The Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the IKI RAS reported on November 3 that a magnetic storm is expected due to a coronal hole and an X-class flare.
It is predicted that the magnetic field disturbances will not exceed the average G2 level, but they can be quite prolonged. Since the coronal hole has a significant width, a complete stabilization of the geomagnetic situation is likely to occur only over the weekend.
