Mogherini and two European officials have been charged with fraud.

The former head of the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, and two other European officials were suspected of misuse of the association's funds. This was announced on December 3 by the European Prosecutor's Office (EPPO).

At the same time, according to the Italian AGI agency, Mogherini was released the day before after being detained.
