The Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) has sent a list of skiers in advance to the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) for participation in international competitions. This was announced on December 2 by Egor Sorin, coach of the Russian national ski racing team.

"We have sent the lists of athletes to the international federation in advance, this is almost the entire national team of the country. We are ready to compete in all competitions that the FIS will allow us to participate in," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to Sorin, the athletes will miss the next stage of the World Cup in Trondheim, Norway, as they will not have time to apply, but next week it is possible to participate in the World Cup in Davos, Switzerland. The upcoming Tour de Ski in Italy is still in doubt due to problems with Schengen visas for some athletes.

On December 2, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev announced that the Court of Arbitration for Sport had granted an appeal against the decision not to allow Russians to participate in the tournaments of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation. Now FIS is obliged to allow Russian athletes to participate in international competitions.
