Dmitriev called the meeting between Putin and Witkoff productive
Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, said on December 3 that the talks between the Russian leader and US President Donald Trump's special envoy Stephen Witkoff had been productive.
"Productive," Dmitriev said in a message to X (ex. Twitter).
The meeting between Witkoff and Putin ended earlier in the day. The negotiations lasted about five hours.
Witkoff arrived in Moscow on December 2. This is the sixth visit of the special envoy of the American president to Russia in a year. The last time he came to Moscow was on August 6. On each visit, Putin held meetings with Witkoff.
During the meeting, the special envoy of the US president called the Russian capital an amazing city, and his walk around Moscow was beautiful. The Russian leader, in turn, noted that he was glad to see Witkff in the capital, and stressed that the Moscow authorities were rightfully proud of what they had done for the development of the capital of the Russian Federation.
