Former Rostov striker Iso Kanyenda has died at the age of 43.
The former forward of football clubs Rostov, Moscow Lokomotiv and the Malawi national team, Iso Kanyenda, died at the age of 43. This was announced on December 2 in the press service of FC Rostov.
"Iso was one of the favorites of Rostov fans in the noughties, played more than 100 matches for our club and tried to keep in touch with his former Rostov teammates until the last moment," the club's Telegram channel says.
The footballer started playing for Rostov in 2003. After joining Lokomotiv in the summer of 2005, from the summer of 2006 to December 2007, he again played for the Donskoy club on loan. In total, Kanyenda played 123 matches for Rostov, scored 22 goals and provided 14 assists. He played five matches for Lokomotiv Moscow.
Rostov also expressed its condolences to the footballer's family and friends.
