The Victory Museum presented a virtual exhibition of New Year's cards on its website. It includes a record number of drawings — more than 57 thousand works. These are postcards created by participants of the international contest "Draw a Victory Tree".

"The creative competition was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The contestants presented drawings dedicated to the preparation and celebration of the new year, 1945. In the works, the participants showed how this beloved holiday was celebrated at the front, how soldiers and officers created a festive atmosphere, how our grandparents and their parents celebrated the New Year, how they decorated the Christmas tree and decorated the house. This year, handicrafts also took part in the competition," the Victory Museum said.

The authors of the drawings were residents of all regions of Russia, as well as the Republics of Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, as well as Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Finland, Norway, Serbia, Israel, Jordan, Cyprus, Switzerland and other countries. And the first drawing for the competition was uploaded 26 minutes after the opening of the acceptance of works!

Most of the postcards were received from young and experienced artists from Moscow, Moscow and Sverdlovsk regions, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Territory, Donetsk People's Republic, Tyumen and Omsk regions, Perm and Chelyabinsk Territories, Republic of Bashkortostan and Primorsky Territory. The most active participants were children between the ages of 6 and 13, and the oldest contestant was 88-year-old Milana Kincharova from the village of Yekaterinovka in the Samara region.

On the website of the Victory Museum, users are invited to choose any postcard they like and vote for it up to and including December 10. The works with the highest number of votes will receive the "Audience Award". In addition, anyone can send a postcard from the online exhibition by e-mail with New Year's greetings to their friends and family for free.

The authors of the best works will be announced on December 12. The award ceremony, at which the winners will be congratulated by the Main Santa Claus of the capital, will be held at the Victory Museum on December 18. On the same day, the opening of the New Year's exhibition will take place, which will include the works of the winners of the special nomination "New Year's Toy of 1945".
