The Russian Ministry of Justice has declared a French human rights organization undesirable

The French International Federation for Human Rights is listed as undesirable in Russia. This was confirmed on December 2 by data on the website of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation.

"The list of foreign and international organizations whose activities are considered undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation. <...> Fédération internationale pour les droits humains ("International Federation for Human Rights")," the list says.

On November 6, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation declared the activities of the British non-governmental organization Equal Rights Trust undesirable in the country.

The State Duma is preparing amendments to the draft law on the seizure of property of citizens who oppose the interests of the Russian Federation abroad.

On October 31, the Ministry of Justice added two non-governmental organizations from the United States and Germany to the undesirable list. The updated list includes The American International Center for Journalists (The International Center for Journalists, ICFJ) and the German European Foundation for Journalism in Exile (JX Fund GmbH).
