- The media reported on Trump's permission for Maduro to leave Venezuela by last Friday.
On November 21, during a telephone conversation with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, American leader Donald Trump gave him a week, until November 28, to leave the country with his family. This was reported on December 1 by the Reuters news agency, citing sources.
"Trump declined most of his requests during the call, which lasted less than 15 minutes, but informed Maduro that he had a week to leave Venezuela for his chosen destination along with family members," the publication says.
It is clarified that the American leader closed the airspace of Venezuela because Maduro did not leave the state.
On November 29, Trump called on all airlines to consider the airspace over and around Venezuela closed. At the same time, the WSJ newspaper reported that the American leader told Maduro during a telephone conversation last week about possible military measures if he did not leave office.
