Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a visit to the command post of the United Group of Forces, heard a report on the liberation of the city of Gulyai-Pole in the Zaporizhia region. This was announced on December 1 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Andrei Ivanaev also reported on the withdrawal of the group to the Gaichur River and the beginning of an operation to liberate the city of Gulyai-Pole, Zaporizhia region, by units of the 5th Combined Arms Army. Currently, units of this army are fighting street battles in the northeastern part of the city," he said.

In addition, Peskov added that Putin thanked the commanders and personnel of the groups for their successful actions, and also set tasks to provide the troops with everything they need.
