Restrictions on car travel on weekends and holidays may be introduced after the purchase of the necessary cameras by 2027. This was announced on December 1 in the Telegram channel by the administration of the Leningrad region.

The first step in the city is to install special cameras that monitor the flow of vehicles. Subsequently, the authorities expect to amend the regional legislation in order to further introduce advisory restrictions in Vyborg based on the data obtained from the cameras.

"Concrete measures <...> can be discussed only after the cameras are purchased and the amendments to the law are adopted," said Vladimir Tsoi, deputy head of the regional government and head of the Committee for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage.

Earlier, on November 12, the press service of the Moscow Department of Transport reported that traffic was temporarily restricted in the center of the capital. It was clarified that traffic was blocked on Tverskaya Street. The reasons for the temporary traffic restriction were not reported.
