Sobyanin wished Muscovites comfort and happiness on Mother's Day
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated the residents of the capital on Mother's Day.
In a post that the mayor posted on his Facebook channel, Sobyanin noted that this "bright family holiday is a great opportunity to once again express our love and gratitude to the most important person on Earth." "Mom is the first sigh, the first smile, the first word. The first lessons that will stay with us for the rest of our lives," the mayor wrote.
According to him, there are "many important cases and irreplaceable professions." "But holy maternal labor is the only one, filled with unique tenderness, care, and warmth," Sobyanin added.
The mayor wished the mothers and grandmothers "good health, family well-being, home comfort and great happiness."
Earlier in November, State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov proposed considering the establishment of specialized cash payments in Russia for mothers with many children and especially for heroine mothers dedicated to Mother's Day. The legislator sent a corresponding appeal to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov. As noted in the document, "this measure will be a logical step in the process of official recognition of the merits of mothers with many children in our country."
