Russia may introduce a mechanism for securing real estate in transactions to protect buyers from a fraudulent scheme that became widespread after the incident with singer Larisa Dolina. This was announced on November 30 by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing Vladimir Koshelev.

"If we are talking about an already completed act of purchase and sale of real estate and the subsequent demand of the seller for the return of property under the pretext that he was not aware of his actions, then if the court invalidates the transaction, it is necessary to introduce a rule of counter-execution — if the seller is unable to return the money, the buyer is not obliged to return the apartment," his words to RIA Novosti.
