The TASS press center announced the finalists of the V Anniversary Russian National Award in the field of Creative Industries, the country's main and the world's only cross-industry award covering all 16 areas of the creative sector. This year, more than 1,200 applications were submitted, of which an expert jury selected 33 finalists in 11 nominations. Also this year, a special nomination "Young Professionals" was established for young representatives of creative industries from Tavrida.ART". It is awarded to young creative teams/individuals for popularizing cultural values of Russia among the youth.

The prize is awarded to professionals, projects, companies, cities and regions for their achievements in the field of creative industries and significant contribution to the development of the Russian creative economy.

The press conference was attended by Alexander Zhuravsky, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Public Projects, Marina Mongush, President of the ANO Creative Economy, Roman Karmanov, General Director of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, Alexey Frandetti, director of the ceremony, three-time winner of the Golden Mask National Theater Award, and Alexey Frandetti, General Director of the Zaryadye Concert Hall, which will host the award ceremony, Ivan Rudin.

"Five years ago, it was clear that the creative potential of our country was huge, but it was dispersed, unsystematic and often had no platform for recognition. It was then, with the personal support of Sergey Vladilenovich Kiriyenko, that the foundation for this Award was laid. He responded to the industry's desire to create a cross-industrial professional award that would cover all areas of the creative industries. It is also important that projects related to the development and achievements of creative industries stimulated the development of common agreements between the state, experts, and the community and significantly contributed to the emergence of the law on creative industries," said Alexander Zhuravsky.

Over the course of its history, the Award has united the whole country: the total number of applications received has surpassed the 6,000 mark, 183 finalists and 49 laureates have been identified, and a professional community of creative economy leaders has been formed.

"We want to talk to those who will be at the ceremony, who have been walking with us all these five years. It will be something solemn and warm. Every year we introduce new nominations, for example, "Agrocreanomics". As a huge country, we cannot afford the European approach to the creative economy, where everything is centralized and everything is in clusters. It is important for us to develop our creative economy so that creative businesses appear not only in small towns, but also in rural areas. The “Global Creanomics” nomination was introduced for the first time. Relations with our partner countries are growing stronger, and the nomination will show how great the export potential is, as well as identify the best projects that help this collaboration. In addition to the 11 main nominations, this year there was also a special nomination “Young Professionals” from Tavrida.ART”. It is very important not only to show the masters, but also the young specialists, whom we also honor today and rely heavily on them," said Marina Mongush.
