Jaecoo will complement the lineup with the J6 crossover, the smallest model. This was announced by the press service of the Chinese brand, which is part of Chery.

Last year, the global version of this crossover was shown under a different index — J5. Updating the model name will make it possible to streamline the range of Jsoc cars by building a clear hierarchy, according to a press release. The J6 will be the most compact, the J7 will continue to represent the brand in the mid-size segment, and the J8 will retain its position as the flagship.

The J6 is positioned as a car for outdoor enthusiasts and pet owners. So, the interior upholstery is selected taking into account the transportation of pets attracts less dirt and is easy to clean.

More detailed information about the technical specifications, trim levels and the start date of sales of the Jaecoo J6 in Russia will be disclosed later.

In November last year, it became known that the front-wheel drive J5 will be offered in Russia with a 1.5—liter engine and a CVT, and all-wheel drive with a 1.6-liter unit in conjunction with a robotic seven-speed transmission. The ground clearance is 190 mm. The crossover is 4.38 m long, 1.86 m wide, and 1.65 m high.

The list of model options will include a multimedia system with a 13.2-inch screen, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, steering wheel and windshield, as well as an all-round camera system with a transparent chassis function. An all-wheel drive version of this crossover was shown in China.

On November 26, experts from the <url> portal told how Chinese automakers manage to make their cars available on the home market. This is achieved through strong government support, large-scale production, an efficient localized supply chain, and an engineering culture tailored to minimize costs. As part of the development of the automotive industry, the Chinese government reduces the financial burden on both companies and end users, provides subsidies and preferential loans, and finances the construction of large factories and charging stations.
