The allegedly published transcripts of dialogues between the special envoy of the President of the United States, Stephen Witkoff, and Russian negotiators may be fakes. This was announced on November 27 by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a press conference following a state visit to Kyrgyzstan.

The Russian leader ironically noted that in Russia this kind of "eavesdropping" is criminalized.
