The prosecutor requested 25 years to give Kiev a searchlight to search for UAVs
The prosecutor requested 25 years for Kursk businessman and inventor Vitaly Revin (listed as a terrorist in the Russian Federation), who handed over a searchlight to the Azov national battalion (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) to detect Russian drones over Kiev. This was reported to Izvestia on November 27 by a participant in the trial.
Earlier, speaking at the hearing of the case in a military court, the inventor pleaded not guilty.
According to the investigation, a 46-year-old resident of Kursk contacted representatives of Azov and offered them an anti-aircraft searchlight, which he designed himself. In addition, Revin handed over all the technical documentation to the national battalion, after which he conducted consultations on the assembly of searchlights.
The criminal case against Revin was opened on September 4, 2024. As the detainee himself admitted, he sent the device via Lithuania from Kursk to Kiev, where the "Azovians" informed him that they were satisfied with the result and expected more supplies of such searchlights from him. On November 18, it was reported that the Second Western District Military Court plans to consider a criminal case against the Kursk businessman.
