VTB transforms retail business in 2026
Next year, VTB intends to transform its business model, focusing on personalization and digital services. This was announced by Olga Skorobogatova, First Deputy President and Chairman of the VTB Management Board, on the eve of the VTB investment forum "RUSSIA IS CALLING!"
"We intend to transform our business model, making it more personal, with an emphasis on specific customer needs. The second focus is on digital services: from the complete renovation of our online banking to the expansion of international transfer destinations. In addition, we will actively develop partner projects," Skorobogatova said.
According to the bank, the number of active VTB retail customers has exceeded 30 million people. Since the beginning of 2025, more than 6 million users have joined the bank. VTB online banking is used by more than 27 million customers every month. The geography of the outbound service has doubled over the year, and its potential reach reaches 126 million people. In addition, more than 2 million ex-RNKB customers joined VTB this year, and in the fall, the active transfer of Postbank customers to VTB started.
The number of VTB depositors has reached 10 million people, and the bank is actively developing its products during the "savings season," the company said. VTB is also popularizing alternative payment methods for user convenience, including VTB Pay and biometrics. Since July, the bank has expanded its benefits for payroll customers, whose number has also exceeded the 10 million mark. More than 6.8 million clients are involved in the VTB Family Bank program.
