The Central Bank urged MFIs to stop imposing additional services
The Central Bank (CB) has appealed to microfinance organizations (MFIs) to completely abandon the practice of imposing additional services on customers. This was announced on November 26 by Mikhail Mamuta, Head of the Central Bank's Consumer Protection and Financial Services Accessibility Service, at the XXIV National Conference on Microfinance and Financial Accessibility.
"The problem that I want to tell everyone about and draw attention to is the strong increase in complaints about the imposition of additional services this year and about refunds for unnecessary services," TASS quoted him as saying.
