India, in preparation for the Russian-Indian summit in New Delhi, is discussing with Moscow initiatives that would make the two countries' ties even closer. This was announced on November 26 by the official representative of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Randhir Jaiswal.

"Both sides are working very hard to strengthen ties, and in this regard, several issues that are part of the final document are being discussed and are being considered right now," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Jaiswal noted that the exact dates of the summit will be announced in a few days.

On November 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a separate bilateral meeting in the Kremlin with Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar, receiving him in the Representative Office of the Senate Palace in the Kremlin.

On November 17, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, opening talks with Jaishankar, confirmed that the Russian-Indian summit would take place, and the summit would be held in New Delhi in three weeks. The Indian Foreign Minister noted that the meeting in Moscow is important for the Indian side in preparation for the upcoming visit of the Russian President to India for the 23rd annual summit.
