The mother of a teenager who was admitted to intensive care told about torture in a rehabilitation center

Teenagers in the Dedovsk rehabilitation center were tortured, but at that time their parents thought that their children were studying with professional psychologists in the "elite center." Svetlana, the mother of Roman, a teenager who was admitted to intensive care, told Izvestia about this on November 25.

According to her, the parents were presented with the center for difficult teenagers as an excellent place with a rich program and providing children with everything necessary for rehabilitation.

"It seemed that this was just a wonderful place, that it was so lucky that psychologists were engaged for 150 thousand rubles a month. They have a big house, they cook there themselves, they have a team, friends, they dance," Svetlana explained.

However, she noted that the children were beaten. So, Roman's body showed signs of bondage and torture, as well as multiple wounds. She claims that her son slept for two weeks on the floor without a blanket or pillow.

Roman was sent to a rehabilitation center to get rid of the teenager's severe dependence on the phone. The child was admitted to the intensive care unit with kidney failure. He is currently on hemodialysis. Doctors' forecasts are disappointing.

Earlier that day, a criminal case was opened in the Moscow suburb of Istra due to the torture and detention of 24 teenagers with various addictions in an illegal rehabilitation center. According to the investigation, psychologists were supposed to work with the minors, but they were beaten and tortured. Currently, the administrator of the center has been charged with crimes, as well as one of his guests, an 18—year-old girl who participated in the beating. Also, at the request of the investigation, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention against the administrator of the institution.
