The system for checking the availability of CTP policies using cameras will be delivered in such a way as to exclude false fines for the "absence" of insurance. This was announced to Izvestia on November 26 by Nikolay Galushin, head of the National Insurance Information System (NSIS).

"We will receive a request from the traffic police regarding the license plate number of the car, which was recorded by a traffic camera. Then, through the interface of two information systems, ours and the traffic police, all information on the car (registration plate and VIN) will be collected, the number of the CTP policy and its validity on the date of the vehicle's passage will be pulled up under the camera that recorded it," he said about the proposed scheme for monitoring the availability of insurance using complexes. photo-video recordings of traffic violations.

This will avoid incorrect fines from cameras, if the license plate number of the car was not specified during the registration of the policy for one reason or another, the NSIS noted.
