The Russian-Indian Forum will be held in New Delhi on December 4-5, 2025. The Forum's motto is "The strength of partnership lies in the unity of goals. Export to Russia." The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry FICCI.

The central event of the Russian-Indian Forum will be a plenary session dedicated to the potential of mutual trade and opportunities for expanding the entry of Indian suppliers into the Russian market. The heads of ministries and departments, leading companies of the two countries will take part in it.

"Russia and India have been linked by decades of friendship and mutual trust. Indian culture is both traditional and modern, Indian national brands are well known and loved in Russia. It is important to use these historical ties to increase imports of Indian goods and services to our country. Today, their presence in the Russian market clearly does not match the enormous potential of Indian industry, agriculture and the IT industry. The Russian-Indian forum, which will be held in New Delhi, is designed to give impetus to the entry of Indian goods into the Russian market, which, among other things, will help to offset the current imbalance in mutual trade. Russian retail chains, e–commerce platforms, and machine-building companies will have the opportunity to establish direct links with Indian manufacturers and exporters," said Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.

The main topic of the upcoming Forum will be trade and economic relations between Russia and India. "India is one of Russia's key partners. Over the past five years, the volume of mutual trade has increased almost sevenfold. By the end of 2024, India ranked second among our country's trading partners. Such high indicators confirm the strengthening of the strategic partnership and the diversification of trade relations between the two countries, including the growth of supplies of agricultural products and energy resources. Today, the Indian market is of increasing interest to Russian businesses: it is voluminous, fast-growing and strategically important for our country. This is one of the tasks of the upcoming Forum: to send a clear signal that our country is ready to purchase Indian goods and services," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.

The Forum program will include a series of panel discussions on various areas of Russian-Indian cooperation: expanding access to the Russian market for Indian machinery, increasing Russian purchases of Indian food products, the potential for growth in mutual provision of digital services, increasing Russian purchases of Indian pharmaceutical products, as well as cooperation in the field of migration.

"India and Russia have consistently supported each other for decades, and today this trust opens up new prospects for our industries. Taking into account that the governments of both countries are striving to achieve ambitious trade targets by 2030, it is now that our companies should actively take the initiative and form the next stage of economic partnership. The upcoming Russian-Indian Forum in New Delhi is taking place at a truly significant moment. Indian business has serious potential in industry, high technology, agriculture and the service sector, and Russian partners today are clearly interested in expanding cooperation. For the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), this Forum is an opportunity to transform years of trust and goodwill into concrete results. Our goal is simple: to promote a wider presence of Indian products in the Russian market, to help our companies explore new industry niches and to support more balanced and future–oriented relations between the economies of our countries," said Anant Goenka, President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (FICCI); Vice Chairman, RPG Group.
