The first ice crossing started working in the Khabarovsk Territory
The first ice crossing was opened in the Khabarovsk Territory this season. It is located near the village of Nelkan in the Ayano-May district.
According to IA AmurMedia, the length of the crossing is 200 m. Access to the ice is allowed for vehicles weighing up to 20 tons.
About 40 ice crossings operate annually in the Khabarovsk Territory. The timing of their opening is linked to climatic conditions, the thickness of the ice and the degree of preparation for operation. At the moment, the process of ice formation continues, temperature fluctuations do not allow reservoirs to freeze to a sufficient thickness.
Earlier it was reported that the main ice crossing of Yamal will be opened in early December. Road workers freeze ice on a section of the Ob River between Salekhard and Labytnangi.
