On November 25, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov announced the need to prepare for the transition from the hydrocarbon economy to new technologies.

"For Russia, it is also necessary to understand that the time of hydrocarbons is gradually beginning to decrease. We are seeing more and more technologies that will not require this type of resource. It is clear that this will remain for some time, but we need to look at the medium-long term. And we need to prepare to switch to new technologies, to new engines, as they say, of our economy, to new types of processing of the same hydrocarbons," Siluanov said.

The Minister also noted that the development of artificial intelligence (AI) has become an obvious trend in the global economy. According to him, artificial intelligence is coming to the forefront, and there is a struggle in the economy over who will achieve the greatest participation of AI in all spheres of life — from economics and medicine to the military component. Siluanov stressed that those who reach the forefront in this area will be more successful.
