An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 occurred in southwestern Japan near the coast of Kamchatka. This was announced on November 25 on the official website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The epicenter of the tremors was located 44 km east of the city of Kumamoto. The earthquake was located at a depth of 10 km.

According to seismologists, no tsunami threat has been announced. There was no information about casualties or damage.

Earlier, on November 21, an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 was recorded in Bangladesh. It was clarified that the seismic event was located at a depth of 10 km. The epicenter of the earthquake was located about 18 km east of Tunga, where about 337,000 people live, and 27 km north of Dhaka, where more than 10.3 million people live.
