The Kremlin commented on Trump's peace plan for Ukraine
The peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump is substantial and can become a very good basis for negotiations. This was announced on November 25 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Now the only thing that is substantial is the American project, the Trump project. We believe that this can become a very good basis for negotiations," he said.
Peskov added that the Russian side remains fully open to negotiations with Ukraine, and is also interested in achieving the goal only through political and diplomatic means.
The day before, the Financial Times newspaper, citing a statement by First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Kyslytsa, reported on the reduction of Trump's plan to 19 points from 28.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted on November 21 that Moscow had received a 28-point plan from Washington, which, according to him, could be used "as the basis for a final peaceful settlement."
