Business is looking for a formula for effective partnership
Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, met with Robert Agee, President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, in Moscow.
The meeting participants discussed the state of the Russian-American business dialogue and the prospects for the participation of U.S. companies in international events of the Roscongress Foundation. The parties noted that, despite the limited activity of American companies in the Russian market, interest in its development, as always, is high.
"Russia is open to partnership, and companies wishing to continue developing their business in the Russian market can do so within the framework of the current legal framework. Today, it is especially important to ensure transparent working conditions, adhere to the principles of integrity and responsibility, and form understandable mechanisms for interaction. The art of opportunity lies in explaining the benefits of the Russian market to businesses competently and intelligibly, finding effective solutions and building mutually beneficial cooperation in new conditions," said Anton Kobyakov.
The parties agreed to hold a Russian-American dialogue in Dubai in December on issues of bilateral economic cooperation and prospects for business cooperation between the two countries in international markets. The American Chamber of Commerce in Russia and the Roscongress Foundation will act as partners in organizing the dialogue.
We also agreed to continue preparations for SPIEF 2026, where the American Chamber of Commerce will act as a partner of the Roscongress Foundation's international platform, Roscongress International. It should be recalled that within the framework of SPIEF 2025, for the first time in several years, the Russia-USA business dialogue took place. The session was attended by more than 150 representatives of Russian and foreign companies, which showed that there was a demand for a direct discussion of the prospects for cooperation.
During the meeting, Robert Agee confirmed the interest of the American Chamber of Commerce in further cooperation.: "The American Chamber of Commerce continues to register the interest of American companies in continuing business in Russia. It is important for him to understand what opportunities remain open in Russia and how they can develop in the current conditions. I expect to provide objective information in Washington on the prospects for American companies, including innovation projects," he said.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held from June 3-6, 2026.
