Siluanov noted the rapid economic growth of the BRICS countries
The BRICS countries are growing rapidly, and they are able to compete with developed economies. This was announced on November 25 by the head of the Ministry of Finance of Russia Anton Siluanov during a plenary session at the International Forum of the Financial University.
"Countries with developing economies, <...> primarily the BRICS countries, are growing rapidly, crowding, respectively, countries with developed economies," he said.
Siluanov noted that in some developing countries, the income level of the population is higher than in countries with developed economies. He also said that developed countries do not want to give way to the BRICS countries and stressed that the Russian Federation is interested in increasing the share and influence of emerging economies.
In addition, according to the Finance Minister, Russia stands for the development of fair competition in the global economy, which is not based on restrictions, trade wars and deterrence.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on October 2 that the authority of the SCO and BRICS in the world is growing. He also called the BRICS member countries natural partners united by a common idea of "building relationships to find mutually acceptable solutions."
