All the experience of the past decade shows that attempts to oust Russia and China from the world market are doomed to failure. This was stated at the opening of the VII Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum (RCEBF) in Beijing. Igor Sechin, Executive Secretary of the Presidential Commission for the Development Strategy of the Fuel and Energy Complex, Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft.

"Let me remind you that, like China, Russia has been under increasing external pressure for many years, the main purpose of which is to oust our two countries from the world market. The experience of the last 10 years has shown that these attempts are doomed to failure," he said.

The head of Rosneft noted that in the coming years the global economy will go through deep and complex changes, the signs of which are already visible: rising debt, loss of confidence in the established financial system, the search for alternatives, including gold, uneven population growth in developing countries, uncontrolled migration, new sources of growth in energy consumption, including data centers that they change the balance and deprive the consumer of available energy. "Deepening our strategic cooperation is a tool for countering these global challenges. Asymmetric answers will be found," Sechin added.

Concluding his report, Sechin quoted the Chinese Book of Changes: "If people have a common soul, then their common strength is so great that it can cut through the strongest metal and overcome any obstacle."

The head of Rosneft also congratulated those present on the start of the VII Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum and summarized N.S. Khrushchev's statement at the XXII Congress of the CPSU.: "Our goals are clear, the tasks are defined. Let's get to work, comrades!"
