Russian servicemen told about the liberation of Tikhy and Otradnoye

Assault units of the 36th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces broke through the defenses of the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and liberated the settlements of Tikhoe and Otradnoe in the Dnipropetrovsk region. This was announced on November 25 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Russian servicemen told about how they liberated Otradnoye.

"The task was to clear the forest belt in front of the village so that the assault groups could pass on. The enemy has a lot of petals, "pencils", and magnetic mines. We go in twos or threes: if I see a stretch mark, I pass it back, they immediately remove it or bypass it. We mark all dangerous places with red tape so that the following groups can see. We don't stay in the dugouts for long: if the enemy doesn't get in touch, artillery starts working on them," explained the stormtrooper with the call sign Zov.

According to the squad commander with the call sign Tokar, they worked in the rain during the sweep. Weather conditions facilitated rapid mine clearance and stealthy movement.

The Russian soldiers had to sit in the forest belts for several hours before receiving data on the location of the Armed Forces and practicing on them.

"At the end of Otradnoye, they retreated. A radio station, ammunition, rations, and satchels were left at the positions. We listened to their broadcast, transmitted the data to the command, and then kamikazes worked on them," said a stormtrooper with the call sign Kramor.

The counterattack attempts made by the Ukrainian military were unsuccessful. Acting coherently and aggressively, units of the 36th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Vostok group of forces consistently advanced in this direction.

Earlier, on November 24, assault units of the 37th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 36th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Vostok group of forces liberated the settlement of New Zaporizhia in the Zaporizhia region. The ministry clarified that after the liberation of New Zaporizhia, the Vostok group of troops completed the task at the junction of the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions to establish control over the right bank of the Gaichur River. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation took control of a large enemy defense center with an area of over 14 square kilometers.
