In the city of Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland, they intend to rename ex-Prince Andrew Street. This was reported on November 24 by the Belfast Telegraph newspaper.

"The Council of Mid and East Antrim has agreed to begin the process of changing the name of the street, which was named after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor," the publication says.

It is noted that such a measure was taken after it became known about the friendship of the former prince with financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of trafficking minors and their sexual exploitation. Andrew himself denies this.

The idea of renaming was put forward by Lauren Gray, an adviser from the Alliance party.

"Carrickfergus has long-standing ties to the royal family, and I have made this proposal to honor the memory of a long-reigning monarch, a strong female leader," Gray said.

Her proposal was supported by all parties of the Council.

On November 19, US President Donald Trump signed a bill to make public the files in the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of trafficking minors and sexual exploitation. Trump said that this decision would reveal the truth about some high-ranking representatives of the US Democratic Party, with whom, according to him, the infamous financier was closely associated.

On November 21, it became known that ex-Prince Andrew ignored a call from the United States Congress to testify about his ties to Epstein.
