The study showed the features of the use of AI by Russian schoolchildren

Spheres communication service conducted a survey among Russian schoolchildren to find out if they use artificial intelligence (AI). It turned out that this technology helps children in various matters, from working on homework to testing the knowledge of AI assistants themselves.

According to the study, almost a third of schoolchildren (29%) noted that they use AI when doing homework, and 23% of respondents communicate with it simply out of boredom. Another 14% of the total number of respondents reported that they like to create avatars, pictures, memes and postcards using AI.

At the same time, a fairly impressive part of the respondents reported that they do not use artificial intelligence, preferring to develop their own, and a tenth of the students do not even know what it is yet.

He prefers to test neural networks with complex questions and catch them on the mistakes of 7% of those who participated in the study.

The survey was conducted in the Sphere service channel among subscribers in October-November 2025. It was attended by 3,400 school-age respondents.
