Ukraine may organize provocations against the background of resumed negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the conflict. A military expert, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, warned about this on Monday, November 24.

"Provocations against the civilian population and peaceful cities are possible. This may be done to blame the Russian military and win over the United States. Sabotage is possible at the Zaporizhia NPP, in some areas of the gray zone where our control has not yet been established," he admitted in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

According to Matviychuk, signs of enemy forces' activation are already being observed in some sectors of the front. At the same time, he ruled out the possibility of breakthroughs and significant changes in the line of contact on the part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"There is simply no place to take new forces unless NATO helps. And there, apparently, they are not ready for such steps. There are reports in the information field that large reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been deployed to Krasnoarmeysk, near Kharkov. There are suggestions that the GUR may be preparing sabotage," the military expert concluded.

Earlier in the day, Denis Pushilin, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), said that the Russian military had thwarted an attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break through the defenses in the north of Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) in the republic. 360.ru .

On November 22, Pushilin said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants do not give up their attempts to leave the encircled Dimitrov in the DPR, but they have practically no chance of doing so, since all such operations are being suppressed, RT reports.
