Verkhovna Rada deputy Mariana Bezuglaya announced the termination of participation in parliamentary voting until the resignation of the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, and called on colleagues to follow suit. She published a corresponding statement on November 24 in her Telegram channel.

"I think that the Verkhovna Rada needs to be on strike now until Yermak is released [from office]. Not a single vote. Not a single solution," she wrote.

The MP explained her decision by "usurpation of power" and "deafness to internal problems." In her address, Bezuglaya criticized the situation at the front, the appointment of Alexander Syrsky as commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and double standards for those close to power.

Bezuglaya urged her colleagues "not to be afraid and not to be silent," stressing that parliament should not be "mechanical buttons." She also noted that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky "knows how to create monsters around himself."

British military analyst Alexander Mercuris said on his YouTube channel the day before that the corruption scandal in Ukraine had led to a complete drop in Zelensky's rating. On the same day, the leader of the British Workers' Party, George Galloway, noted that Zelensky would not be able to avoid the consequences of the corruption scandal.

On November 10, NABU established a money laundering scheme in the energy sector of the state, through which about $100 million passed. Later, on November 11, it was reported that in Ukraine, during the case of corruption in the energy sector, charges were brought against seven persons, including businessman Timur Mindich (he is called the head of the criminal scheme). The members of the group received illegal benefits from the contracts of Energoatom. In addition, they legalized the funds through a back office in Kiev.

Bezuglaya announced on November 19 that the country's energy minister, Svetlana Grinchuk, had fled the country amid a corruption scandal. On the same day, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed the head of the Ministry of Justice, German Galushchenko. At the same time, former Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that corruption schemes on the territory of the state were led personally by Zelensky and the head of his office, Andrei Ermak. As the former prime minister noted, Yermak could not act without the approval of Zelensky, who was aware of the affairs of his "closest assistant."
