Famous fashion designer Paul Costello, who was the personal designer of Princess Diana, died in London at the age of 81. This was reported on November 22 by the Mirror newspaper with reference to the official statement of his fashion house.

"It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Paul Costello after a short illness. He passed away peacefully in London, surrounded by his wife and seven children. We ask that the family's privacy be respected during this difficult time," the newspaper said in a statement.

The designer started his career at the Federation of Haute Couture in Paris, worked in Italy and the USA. From 1983 until the tragic death of Princess Diana in 1997, Costello was her personal fashion designer, creating famous outfits that went down in fashion history.

After working with the royal family, the designer developed his own clothing brand. Among his significant works is the development of uniforms for the Irish Olympic team, as well as uniforms for employees of British Airways and Delta Airlines. Costello left a noticeable mark on the fashion industry, combining elegance and functionality in his works.
