The court sentenced the Kuzbass blogger Luciferovna to 5.5 years in a penal colony
A magistrate's court in Kuzbass has sentenced a local blogger known as Olesya Luciferovna to five years and six months in a penal colony for failing to fulfill parental duties related to the abuse of her daughter. This was reported on November 21 in the press service of the prosecutor's office of the region.
"Taking into account the position of the public prosecutor and the existence of a criminal record, the court sentenced the guilty party to 5 years and 6 months in prison to serve her sentence in a general regime penal colony," the press service wrote on its Telegram channel.
She was found guilty under Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Non-fulfillment and improper fulfillment of duties for the upbringing of a minor by a parent if this act is combined with ill-treatment of a minor").
According to the investigation, from January 2023 to January 2025, the woman abused alcohol and withdrew from raising her 12-year-old daughter. It is noted that for the slightest offenses, the woman repeatedly beat the girl with her hands and a rubber hose.
The defendant also forced her daughter to participate in live broadcasts and ask viewers for money, and spoke obscenely about the child, including on social media.
Currently, the mother is deprived of parental rights in relation to her daughter, the girl has been placed under guardianship, the supervisory authority clarified.
On November 18, the Pervouralsky City Court in the Sverdlovsk region sentenced a local resident to 3.5 years in a general regime penal colony for torturing her minor son and unlawfully depriving him of his liberty. It was noted that in November 2023, she put an 11-year-old child on a chain, and in February and March of this year, she regularly beat the teenager with a wooden rolling pin and a leather belt.
