The brother of King Charles III of Great Britain, the former Prince Andrew, ignored a call from the US Congress to testify about his ties to financier Jeffrey Epstein. This was reported on November 20 by The Times newspaper, citing sources.

Andrew ignored an invitation to talk to Congress about his ties to <...> Epstein," the article says.

According to the newspaper, the deadline for a response was set for November 20, but Andrew did not respond to the congressional request. It is noted that Andrew is not a US citizen, and therefore the House of Representatives cannot send him an official summons.

At the same time, Suhas Subrahmanyam, a member of the House of Representatives, one of the 13 congressmen who signed the letter to Andrew, expressed the hope that the prince's entourage would voluntarily provide the necessary information about Epstein.

On November 19, US President Donald Trump signed a bill to make public the files in the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of trafficking minors and sexual exploitation. Trump said that this decision would reveal the truth about some high-ranking representatives of the US Democratic Party, with whom, according to him, the infamous financier was closely associated.

In January 2024, the first part of the documents was published, containing the names of more than 150 people involved in the financier's case. Among them are former US President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
