Britain has extended the temporary exemption from sanctions for Lukoil in Bulgaria
Office for the Implementation of Financial Sanctions (OFSI) The UK has extended the general license, which allows it to conduct operations with a number of subsidiaries of the Russian company Lukoil. The relevant document was published on November 20 on the website of the government of the country.
The list includes two new companies, Lukoil Aviation Bulgaria and Lukoil Bunker Bulgaria, with which operations are allowed.
On November 14, similar exceptions were granted to Lukoil Bulgaria and Lukoil Neftochim Burgas.
On October 22, the US Treasury announced the imposition of sanctions against Russian oil companies Rosneft and Lukoil. On October 27, Lukoil announced its intention to sell its foreign assets.
On November 14, Lukoil's website reported that negotiations on the sale of international assets were underway with several potential buyers. The Company is also in regular cooperation with the authorities in the regions of its operations. Later, on November 17, the Reuters news agency reported that the American oil company Chevron is exploring the possibility of acquiring Lukoil's foreign assets worth at least $20 billion.
