The Jubilee New Year Tree will be held in the Column Hall of the House of Unions

In the very heart of the capital, in the Column Hall of the House of Unions, next to Red Square, Alexander Garden, Manezhnaya Square and the Historical Museum, from December 24, 2025 to January 10, 2026, an Anniversary New Year's Tree will be organized, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the first All-Union Christmas Tree, held here in 1936.

It was the country's main Christmas Tree, a holiday that millions dreamed of. During the Soviet period, it was possible to get here only by special invitation. Now the legend is returning in an updated form: open, accessible and just as solemn, preserving the atmosphere of the past and adding to it the vivid possibilities of the theater using AI. The festive atmosphere will be created by international artists such as Ilya Solovyov, a participant in the acrobatic show in Las Vegas, Lev Goryachev, an actor from Mark Zakharov's Lenkom, Semyon Zhelnerovsky, a participant in the Musical Intuition show on TNT, and others. Composer - member of the Union of Composers of Russia, composer of the legendary play "The Scarlet Flower" by the Kremlin Ballet Theater Vladimir Kuptsov.

The guests of the holiday will be greeted by an eleven-meter fir tree decorated with five thousand toys and colorful lights. The organizers carefully recreate the atmosphere of the first All-Union Christmas Tree using authentic decorations, historical and modern costumes, light motifs from the 1930s, and the Novaya Epoch Symphony Orchestra, which will perform music familiar to several generations. Against this background, there is a bright modern performance, in which new characters and 3D technologies are organically intertwined.

Before the performance begins, the space of the Pillared Hall will transform into the atmosphere of the Arctic. Guests will enjoy ice photo zones, a snow igloo, a themed cafe with northern treats, and a holiday fair. Festivities with acrobatic performers, life-size characters and a real Santa Claus sleigh will unfold on the parade square, which will roll in a circle to the cheerful mood of the audience. A special moment will be the meeting with 12 traditional Russian Santa Claus from different regions of the country — from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka.

The organizers note that the purpose of the holiday is not only entertainment. The play tells about friendship, bravery, honesty, the ability to keep warm in the heart, and the courage to do good. The educational mission is woven into the events of the play as organically as music or choreography. During the festive period, the Jubilee Tree will receive about 25,000 guests, turning the Pillared Hall into a place of strength, light and family joy. Every viewer will find themselves not just at a New Year's performance, but inside a living story that has been going on for nine decades.

The main theme of our holiday is reverence for history and the transmission of traditions. When a grandmother tells her grandson, “I used to come here when I was your age,” a rare sense of community is born. This is a New Year's miracle that cannot be faked by any effects."

The anniversary Tree gives a sense of belonging: “I did it. I helped the heroes.” Children keep this experience all their lives."
