The grand ceremony of awarding the XI annual prestigious All Colors of Jazz Award, organized by JAZZ 89.1 FM Radio, took place in Moscow at the ODEON Theater.
The award was given to the most worthy representatives of the jazz industry in eight nominations. At the first stage, the best musical compositions of the finalists were selected by listeners of Radio JAZZ through an open vote, and the winners were already named by an expert jury.
The jury included Igor Butman, People's Artist of Russia, saxophonist, artistic Director of the Moscow Jazz Orchestra; Sergey Zhilin, People's Artist of Russia, head of the Phonograph Jazz Band; Daniil Kramer, People's Artist of Russia, full member of the Russian Academy of Arts; and Editor-in-chief of the Jazz magazine.<url>", jazz researcher Kirill Moshkov, singer, People's Artist of Russia Valeria, author and leader of "Billy's Band" and "Petersburg Jazz Asset", co-owner of The Hat bars Billy Novik.
The event brought together outstanding artists in whose work jazz occupies a special place, and fine connoisseurs who show a deep interest in its rich history and sound. Among the guests were theater and film actress, public figure Irina Bezrukova, Russian theater and film actress Olesya Sudzilovskaya, singer, soloist of the Ivanushki International group Kirill Andreev, singer Roman Arkhipov, singer and TV presenter Angelika Agurbash, singer and TV presenter Katya Gordon, singer and producer Bianca, singer and radio presenter Irakli, the group "Factory". Dmitry Malikov, People's Artist of Russia, singer, composer, pianist, conductor, and producer, became a special guest who performed his compositions.
"The impressions of the award are very cool. I'm not a jazz musician, but there is jazz in any direction: in classical music, in neoclassical music, which I do, in pop music. If there is such attention to this genre, then I am only glad. I also have jazz elements in my program, I am very happy to listen to good jazz. These are Igor Butman and Seryozha Mazaev. He plays the clarinet and, like me, came from pop to classical music. We wander from there, but we are not bored. I've been traveling all my life, studied at the conservatory, and worked at the stadium. This is my fate, not some kind of midlife crisis," Dmitry Malikov emphasized.
Every year, the award reveals young performers who confidently assert themselves on the big stage, thereby contributing to the development of the Russian music industry. Jazz pianist and composer Daniel Adiyants has received an award as a rising star, and his debut album will be released on vinyl soon.
Choosing the winners of the 2025 All Colors of Jazz Award was an extremely difficult task for the jury, as all its participants were aware of the high responsibility of this decision for musicians dedicated to jazz.
