Russia should continue to work on creating its own aircraft, developing efficient transport logistics, and strengthening connectivity in the country. This was announced on November 20 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a visit to the exhibition at the Transport of Russia forum.

According to him, Western countries hoped to destroy the Russian aviation infrastructure and take away all aircraft, so the Russian Federation needs to create its own aviation.

"<...> domestic aircraft, the creation of logistics approaches — and this is the appropriate response of the country <...>. To create our own aircraft <...>, to continue to create the right logistics," the Prime Minister stressed.

Alexander Inozemtsev, Managing Director and concurrently General Designer of UEC-Aviadvigatel JSC, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), announced on September 21 that the Russian industry was moving towards full autonomy in aircraft construction. He noted that Russia is the only country in the world that can and is almost approaching independent work on aircraft and engines.
