The head of the British Ministry of Defense, John Healy, announced the state's readiness to take measures in the event of the alleged activation of the Russian ship Yantar near the British coast. This was reported on November 19 by The Guardian newspaper.

"We see you. We know what you're doing. And if Yantar goes south this week, we will be ready," he said.

Healy noted that the Yantar is already in British waters and is allegedly engaged in mapping underwater cables, as well as allegedly using laser beams to influence pilots of the British Air Force.

On September 30, the French Navy detained the Benin-flagged oil tanker Boracay, which allegedly transported Russian oil in circumvention of sanctions. An investigation was launched into the vessel because the crew allegedly failed to provide evidence of the vessel's nationality and "failed to comply with orders."

As Vasily Koltashov, head of the Center for Political and Economic Studies, told Izvestia, Western provocations against tankers allegedly transporting Russian oil may indicate the desire of these countries to fix their own economic problems at the expense of other people's resources.
