On the night of November 18-19, Moscow time, after the completion of the last CONCACAF qualification matches, the full line-up of participants in the intercontinental play-off games of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico in the summer, was determined.

Iraq, DR Congo, Jamaica, Bolivia, Suriname and New Caledonia will compete for the two remaining tickets to the World Championship, distributed outside the qualifying rounds of the confederations.

The two highest-ranked FIFA teams, Iraq and DR Congo, will start playing immediately from the final round. Four other national teams will have to start from the semifinals in order to complete two stages and qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

All the play—off matches will be hosted by Mexico - they will be held in Guadalajara and Monterrey. The draw for the intercontinental connections is scheduled for November 20.

Earlier, on November 19, it became known that there were lists of all European national football teams that directly qualified for the World Cup. It was clarified that among these countries are Germany, Croatia, France, Portugal and Austria. In addition, this group includes such kingdoms as Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, as well as the Swiss Confederation.
