The first 12 migration control points have opened on the territory of the largest Russian airports. This was announced on November 19 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.
She said that new points have started operating at the airports of Moscow, as well as St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg and several other cities.
"Migration control points of the authorities <... They will also be opened at border railway stations, near water and automobile checkpoints," Wolf wrote on her Telegram channel.
The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation recalled that their tasks include identifying foreign citizens who violate migration laws.
Earlier, on November 18, it was reported that in St. Petersburg, the cost of a patent for migrant workers from January 1, 2026, will increase by 2 thousand rubles and amount to 8 thousand rubles. A similar measure will also be introduced in the Leningrad region.
